There’s something special about stepping outside and seeing a yard you’ve poured your heart into. For me, it’s more than just green grass and neatly trimmed edges—it’s the smell of fresh-cut grass in the summer, the laughter of my nieces and nephews playing under the trees, the quiet pride I feel when the sun hits the lawn just right and everything looks picture perfect.

I’ve always loved being outside. Growing up, yard work wasn’t a chore—it was a chance to be with my family, working side by side, making something beautiful. My dad taught me early on that hard work pays off. Whether it was raking leaves or planting new flower beds, he’d say, “Take care of your home, and it will take care of you.” Those words stuck with me.

These days, my yard is still the backdrop for some of the best moments in life—birthday parties under the old oak tree, fire pits on chilly fall nights, or just sitting on the porch soaking in a peaceful afternoon. I work hard to keep our yard clean, green, and full of life—because it’s not just a yard. It’s where life happens.

That’s what inspired me to start GVLEarthWorks. I know how much a well-cared-for yard can mean to a family, and I want to bring that same feeling to your home.
